We Believe in Intelligent Inverters that Maximise Your Solar Investment

Advanced Solar Inverter Solutions for Residential and Commercial Properties

Our Solar Inverters

Your inverter is the “brain” of your solar system, responsible for converting the DC energy captured by your panels into usable power for your home. At Celtic Solar, we select only high-performance inverters known for their reliability, superior heat dissipation, and advanced monitoring capabilities. Given the intense Queensland sun, we prioritise hardware that maintains peak efficiency even in high temperatures, ensuring your system performs consistently year-round.

SolarEdge

SolarEdge is the ultimate solution for complex or shaded roofs. Unlike traditional string inverters, this system utilises DC Power Optimisers on every panel. This ensures that if one panel is affected by shade or debris, the rest of the array continues to perform at its maximum potential.

Beyond performance, SolarEdge offers unparalleled safety and visibility. The system includes “SafeDC” technology to automatically de-energise DC voltage during maintenance or emergencies. You also gain panel-level monitoring, allowing you to view the real-time health and output of every individual module on your roof.

Backed by a market-leading warranty structure, featuring 12 to 25 years on the inverter and a full 25-year warranty on the power optimisers.

Fronius

Fronius is legendary for its “SnapInverter” design, which allows for easier servicing and upgrades, making it the most sustainable choice for long-term solar ownership.

These hybrid-ready units feature advanced active cooling, which significantly extends the lifespan of internal electronics by managing the intense Queensland heat.

The integrated smart monitoring allows you to track your energy production and household consumption in real-time via the intuitive Solar.web platform.

Comes with a standard 10-year warranty, which is extendable to 20 years, backed by a company with over 75 years of electronic engineering excellence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What solar panels do you recommend?2026-05-19T04:10:33+00:00

We recommend N-Type (TOPCon) panels as the modern industry standard for the Sunshine Coast. These panels offer superior heat tolerance and efficiency, ensuring they generate more power during hot Queensland summers and last significantly longer than older P-type technology.  We recommend Winaico premium panels as they have high mechanical strength and excellent salt spray resistance, which is vital given our warm coastal environment.

What is a solar inverter?2026-05-19T04:10:40+00:00

The inverter is the “brain” of your system, converting the DC electricity from your panels into the AC power used by your home. Inverter capacity is measured in “kW”.  The higher the number the more power the inverter can provide to your appliances, reducing your reliance on the grid.  We only install smart, grid-compliant inverters that allow for real-time monitoring and with proven performance.

Should I choose a string inverter or microinverters?2026-05-19T04:10:49+00:00

String inverters are cost-effective and reliable for simple, unshaded roofs. However, if your roof suffers from shading issues or has multiple orientations, microinverters or optimisers are essential to ensure every panel performs at its maximum potential independently.

How much roof space do I need for a 10kW system?2026-05-19T04:10:54+00:00

A modern 10kW system typically consists of 20 to 22 high-efficiency panels (465 – 500W per panel). This requires approximately 45 to 55 square metres of clear roof space, depending on the specific dimensions and wattage of the panels selected for your property.  We use sophisticated design software to determine the most appropriate layout for your home.
