Popular brands like Tesla and BYD typically accept between 7kW and 11kW, depending on the model.

Level 3: DC Fast Charging

Level 3 charging is what you’ll find at public charging stations, highway service centres, and shopping centres. These high-powered chargers bypass your vehicle’s onboard charger and deliver DC power directly to the battery, allowing many EVs to reach 80% charge in as little as 20–30 minutes. While incredibly convenient for road trips, they’re not designed for home installation.
