Celtic Solar helped us set up a new system last year. Tony and his team make the sun work for you.
We’re not the best at conserving our power consumption at times and to be honest we would rather use all the electric devices when we want.
My boy Tony hooked us up with a banger of a system that literally cut my bills by 80%. So we’re pretty stoked, his team were fast and produced great quality work.
Will we use Celtic in the future? You bet we will.
“Tony Morrissey, Peter Edwards and their team did a great install for our brewery installing 99kw and 3 inverters in around a week. Once we’d cleared the Energex side of things it was all guns blazing. These guys are knowledgeable, efficient, safe working and very easy to talk to, with no question seen as silly.
Ricks Artisan Pies and Sour Dough installed a solar system from Celtic Solar to help reduce the ongoing costs within the business.
Tony recommended & quoted the system for our business that delivers a saving of $900 per month on the current running costs, the savings achieved are slightly above the projected savings in the modelling done for the project.
We are very happy with the safety and speed of our installation by the team at Celtic Solar.

"Our whole experience with Celtic Solar has been an unexpected pleasure."
Dear Tony and Mel,
Celtic Solar
It is now only two weeks since you installed our 5 kW Solar Power System and we would like to thank you for your excellent professional service and trouble free installation.
We are looking forward to receiving our next electricity bill given the photovoltaic (PV) system’s generation performance and expect a significant reduction compared with the same period last year. At the moment we are enjoying watching the impressive performance of our investment in a PV system. We feel unparalleled joy watching the electricity metre spinning backwards while we wait for Energex to connect us to the grid.
Given the current performance of our PV system, we expect to receive significant savings and will update you when our first electricity bill arrives. Perhaps it will even be a credit instead of $600 which has been our regular amount to date! We anticipate receiving savings and our expectations might even be exceeded.
We are fastidious green hippies, a term of endearment from our teenage sons, and usually find major household projects something of a nightmare for various reasons in particular being disappointed by the service provider.
In contrast, we were delighted with Celtic Solar’s approach from day one. Mel, administration Director, is efficient, helpful and friendly. Tony, Director, is also a true blue expert, a qualified PV system designer and installer who explained and undertook all aspects of the project. The fact that Celtic Solar is locally owned and operated made a huge difference to us.
We did not just want anyone installing our PV system. It requires specialist knowledge and training to do the job properly. Selecting only Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited companies, we obtained several quotations from key PV system designers and installers.
Celtic Solar lived up to its “When Quality is Everything!” claim and clearly succeeded in demonstrating its vast experience (22 years) in the field. Tony provided a competitive price of delivering the specific PV panels that we had specified. He designed and installed the PV system according to our agreed estimated timeframe and on budget, demonstrating his reliability.
PV systems need to be designed for both safety and performance reasons. As a good designer / installer, Tony checked out the roof pitch and orientation, shading, the location, state of repair and access to the existing switchboard and metering, and wind loading on the PV system. Tony provided a PV system design and specification customised for our home.
The layout / configuration of the PV panels maximised use of our roof space and optimised energy production. We required that the inverter be placed out of the weather in the garage. Tony accommodated our specification and customised the wiring from the PV panels to the garage and from the inverter to the electrical meter box accordingly. The installation of the system is characterised by neatness and attention to detail. The inverter mounting, cable routing and signage is an absolute show pony and we are truly satisfied customers. The image shows Tony’s neat handy work.
Tony is not only a master craftsman but capable of explaining everything!
Including technical information in simple language that was easy to understand. We were able to estimate the probable savings and cost recovery period, understand the workings of the system (panels and inverter) and the warranty terms, and details of the data that would be displayed on the meter so that we could monitor the amount of power that was being generated and the amount that was fed into the grid.
The professional documentation provided to us for the project comprising a “Solar Grid-Connect System” System Installation Manual, in both hard copy and electronic format is outstanding. The System Overview, Safety Issues, Technical Information, Efficiency Issues for Monitoring the System, Warranty Information and Appendixes for diagrams, energy saving suggestions are extremely useful information.
After installation, we greatly appreciated Tony making a personal on site check up a week later. He undertook an energy audit which enabled us to be more pro-active making energy efficiency/savings measures to complement the performance of our PV system and minimise our electricity bill and carbon dioxide emissions footprint. Tony also spent considerable time answering our questions about the PV system’s performance and related matters.
Tony helped us to connect the inverter to our laptop and install the necessary software that enables us to monitor the daily and historical data. It is quite intriguing to see what is happening, in graphical form, while the sun is providing our free electricity.
We highly recommend Celtic Solar for all projects requiring a PV system. Celtic Solar provides the ultimate package for potential PV system purchasers as it is a class act representing a trilogy of the personal touch for sales, design and installation service excellence.
Warm regards and wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Anne and Ivor
